Cignale IGT 2018

Cignale Colle della Toscana Centrale is deep, dark ruby in color. Very floral and beautiful with hints of dark fruit, black currant and dried flowers, such as violets. Full body, firm and silky tannins and a fresh and bright finish. Lots of dried citrus undertones.
A blend of 90% Cabernet Sauvignon and 10% Merlot, the Castello di Querceto 2018 Cignale ("wild boar" in Italian) offers beautiful depth and balance. This is a boldly layered Tuscan red that ages in French oak for 18 months. Sweet baking spice, dark chocolate and blackberry confit emerge from the core of this nicely concentrated red. - 94pts Robert Parker
Smoky and rocky on the nose, this wine offers juicy red and black fruit that turns almost candied red apple on the palate. Notes of coffee grinds and top soil are pointed up by the astringency of very tight tannins and razor-sharp acid. - 91pts Wine Enthusiast
