Devium Lewis Peak Pet Nat 2020
The second vintage of ancient method sparkling off of Lewis Peak. This vintage is a cofermented blend of Malbec and Riesling. The grapes were foot crushed then macerated together whole cluster for 4 days, before being pressed off into old French oak barrels and allowed to ferment for about a month without anything added, when the sugar was in the correct range, the wine was bottled in order to finish the fermentation in bottle. The bottle fermentation lasted seven weeks before being disgorged in early January of 2021. Fresh, vibrant and joyful. As smile inducing of a wine as there ever was.
