Famille Chasselay Je t'aime mais j'ai soif NV
This beautiful Gamay is basically declassified Beaujolais. While the fruit is all from the 2019 vintage, the producers didn't want to be hemmed in with the AOC designation of Beaujolais (a small amount of the fruit came from just outside Beaujolais) -- so they decided to release it as a non-vintage Table Wine (Vin De France)! This is a lovely, elegant, Burgundian expression of the grape. It has beautiful aromatics and is done in the local tradition of semi-carbonic maceration and then aged in concrete. The result is fresh, light red fruit.
